February 2012 NEWSLETTER

Update

Sports Village has really been busy over the last few months. With the mild winter weather conditions, many have been able to enjoy all that Sports Village has to offer.

We have been working on updating the clubhouse amenities. There has been a few additions to the game room. These additions include a new ping pong table, foosball table, and an air hockey table. We hope that this provides lots of fun for everyone! Along with updating the amenities we would like to make everyone aware of the new policy on renting equipment. There will no longer be a fee for equipment rentals. This includes ping pong paddles, tennis racquets, golf, etc. You will just need to provide your access card in exchange for ANY of the equipment.

The main pool has been closed the last week. We had major repairs to the gas line and heaters. The pool should be ready to go by Saturday, February 4, 2012. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We hope that these upgrades will be beneficial to all.

With the busy spring months approaching, we are excited to see the groups of people that come to vacation. We hope it is an enjoyable time for all!

To All Homeowners:

We would like to notify all Homeowners of the change in Insurance Policy. Beginning February 1, 2012 the deductible for the Sports Village HOA will be raised to $10,000. The reason for this change in deductible came with the passing of House Bill 167.House Bill 167 took effect July 1, 2011. A copy of this bill is included in this mailing.

We would like to recommend that each Homeowner carry at least $10,000 of Dwelling coverage on your personal insurance policy. This will help to avoid any coverage gaps should a loss occur in your unit as your policy will now be required to pay the first $10,000 on any property loss. Please review your policy to ensure that the coverage is in accordance with this recommendation.

Please feel free to contact Sports Village with any questions.

Sincerely,
Sports Village HOA Board Of Directors

We have been refreshing the look here at Sports Village. Hopefully many of you have had the chance to see the updated clubhouse. Also the maintenance crews have been working hard to freshen up the paint on the exterior of the buildings. By the end of August we will have painted the exterior trim and siding on building A thru P. Later this fall we are planning to repair and paint all the stairways and railing that the HOA is responsible for. At this time we would also be willing to repair and paint those that you as homeowners are responsible to maintain. We would do it for a predetermined cost. This cost would be strictly to recover the material and labor that was involved. If your unit is in need, we encourage you to let us help. (This includes the white railings on buildings A thru P; and the blue railings on buildings Q thru Z) Before we start a building, we will evaluate the work to be done and give you a cost. Please contact us if you are interested. The contact number for the clubhouse is 435-628-3981.

We are very excited for all that is going on here at Sports Village. We hope you all mark your calendar for the upcoming meeting. Have a great month!

It has hit summer here in St. George. We are currently experiencing our 100 degree weather. Nothing feels more refreshing than a nice dip in the swimming pools! We hope you all get that chance.

Just a few reminders:

*We want to remind everyone to please turn off the water to your unit when it is not occupied. This cuts down significantly on the water problems that occur.

*The HOA requires the homeowner to maintain their decks and railings. There is paint available at the clubhouse. Please contact the front desk. There is a check out form that will need to be filled out, along with a $20 deposit. Upon the return of the remaining paint or the empty cans your deposit will be refunded. Please keep your decks and railing looking nice.

*Any homeowner renting out their unit is required by the City of St. George to maintain a buisness license. This can be paid for at the St. George City offices. Please make sure your in compliance.

Although the Annual Meeting is not scheduled until October, we would like to encourage all of the homeowners to consider running for the Board of Trustees. If you are interested please contact the clubhouse for an application.

It has been a very busy couple of months. We have seen many of our homeowners and their guests enjoying the amenities that Sports Village has to offer. We were able to be in contact with many people helping and participating in the Ironman. What a neat event to have take place right here for us to enjoy. Congratulations to all of you that participated!!!! That is an amazing accomplishment!

We want to update everyone on the desert landscaping that is taking place. We are working on completing the first phase of the desert landscpaing. This includes buildings T thru X. We are currently in the process of getting the gravel and having it put into place. We on schedule to have it completed by the end of the month.

Just a few reminders for everyone:

1. Railings and Decks: The railings and decks are the homeowners responsibility to upkeep. The HOA will provide the paint for you to do so. Please contact the clubhouse or stop by and we will be able to furnish that for you. We like to keep everything looking nice!
2. Dryer vents: We would like to recommend to all homeowner to keep your dryer vents clean if you don't already do so. This not only helps with the effeciency of your dryer, but also helps reduce the risk of fire.

March 2010 Newsletter

The weather as been a little unpredictable lately. We have had a lot of rain and now are looking forward to the beautiful sunshine. The spring breaks have began, and we hope you can come and enjoy Sports Village with the rest of us.

The swimming pool had a few hiccups over the last month. But it back up and running and should be perfect temperature for everyone to enjoy.

The asphalt walkways around the tennis courts have all been replaced with concrete sidewalks. It makes for a much smoother walk and really looks nice.

The desert landscaping is still in full force. We are so excited to complete the first phase of this project.

We have had some changes in ownership over the last month and are excited to welcome them to the great Sports Village Community. We hope the new owners enjoy it as much as the rest of us.
