June 2010 Newsletter

June 2010 Newsletter
It has hit summer here in St. George. We are currently experiencing our 100 degree weather. Nothing feels more refreshing than a nice dip in the swimming pools! We hope you all get that chance.

Just a few reminders:

*We want to remind everyone to please turn off the water to your unit when it is not occupied. This cuts down significantly on the water problems that occur.

*The HOA requires the homeowner to maintain their decks and railings. There is paint available at the clubhouse. Please contact the front desk. There is a check out form that will need to be filled out, along with a $20 deposit. Upon the return of the remaining paint or the empty cans your deposit will be refunded. Please keep your decks and railing looking nice.

*Any homeowner renting out their unit is required by the City of St. George to maintain a buisness license. This can be paid for at the St. George City offices. Please make sure your in compliance.

Although the Annual Meeting is not scheduled until October, we would like to encourage all of the homeowners to consider running for the Board of Trustees. If you are interested please contact the clubhouse for an application.

We wish everyone a fun and eventful summer! Stay cool and Enjoy!

May 2010 Newsletter

May 2010 Newsletter

It has been a very busy couple of months. We have seen many of our homeowners and their guests enjoying the amenities that Sports Village has to offer. We were able to be in contact with many people helping and participating in the Ironman. What a neat event to have take place right here for us to enjoy. Congratulations to all of you that participated!!!! That is an amazing accomplishment!

We want to update everyone on the desert landscaping that is taking place. We are working on completing the first phase of the desert landscpaing. This includes buildings T thru X. We are currently in the process of getting the gravel and having it put into place. We on schedule to have it completed by the end of the month.

Just a few reminders for everyone:

1. Railings and Decks: The railings and decks are the homeowners responsibility to upkeep. The HOA will provide the paint for you to do so. Please contact the clubhouse or stop by and we will be able to furnish that for you. We like to keep everything looking nice!
2. Dryer vents: We would like to recommend to all homeowner to keep your dryer vents clean if you don't already do so. This not only helps with the effeciency of your dryer, but also helps reduce the risk of fire.

We hope this finds everyone well and we looking forward to enjoy the 100 degree weather with each of you real soon!

March 2010 Newsletter

The weather as been a little unpredictable lately. We have had a lot of rain and now are looking forward to the beautiful sunshine. The spring breaks have began, and we hope you can come and enjoy Sports Village with the rest of us.

The swimming pool had a few hiccups over the last month. But it back up and running and should be perfect temperature for everyone to enjoy.

The asphalt walkways around the tennis courts have all been replaced with concrete sidewalks. It makes for a much smoother walk and really looks nice.

The desert landscaping is still in full force. We are so excited to complete the first phase of this project.

We have had some changes in ownership over the last month and are excited to welcome them to the great Sports Village Community. We hope the new owners enjoy it as much as the rest of us.

We look forward to a great Spring!!!!!

February 2010 Newsletter

It's February already! Wow, where does the time go. After a week worth of rain, we are finally enjoying the beautiful St. George weather that we all love so much! As for the groundhog....we have to disagree. If feels like the winter is on its way out!

We know many have been wondering what exactly is going on with the desert landscaping. As of now, the sod along building S-X has been removed. If everything stays on schedule, thedesert landscpaing along those buildings should be complete by the end of February. We look forward to this being completed.

The asphalt paths around the tennis courts are currently under construction. The removal of the old asphalt is currently being removed and will be ccompletely redone. This also should be completed within the next couple of weeks.

We normally have heated the lap pool for the months of February, March and April. We are not going to be heating them at this time. It is expensive and we are going to hold of on this. The heater at the main pool is being replaced and the main pool should be up and running by February 10th.

We appreciate all of the homeowners and their efforts to keep Sports Village a great place to live and visit. We hope each of you have a great month of February!!!
